As a Consultant Forester who worked for the largest timberland manager in NY, 270,000 acres under management, I’ve seen it first hand. Easements open hunting rights to the general public, hunt camps/clubs lose their exclusivity and their camps. The results have been NO influx of the public utilizing the easement lands, but a drop off of the hunt club hunters that used to use the property.

I just stopped.paying dues at my.club after 21 years because of conservation easements .... I decided to build a camp.on my own property... Sure do miss the.stag club when hunting season roles around ...I do have my own place now that borders easement property and another small private camp I hunt from...

Most Places here are High Dollar deer hunting leases. City slickers pay 2-4 grand a year to hunt a Property and kill Two bucks.
Ended most the Free hunting for family gatherings and deer camps. Most with common sense arent willing to pay the price.
