Here's one you probably can't afford. Quite an arrogant statement.

Well, I didn't mean to be a cad. LOL. Sorry!
It's just that the OP said he hoped to find one not in the price range of a Perazzi. And my point was that the Quackenbushes are on the spendy side.
My fear of moving stairs is escalating!

I know a guy who knows a guy who has 2 springer air rifles. Both German made, single (This word is unacceptable on Trapperman) guns. One will put 5 shots nearly through the same hole at 10 meters, which is pretty close to Olympic level accuracy. It has been used to shoot starlings......not aiming at the starling, or it's head.....but at it's eye. If only they would hold their heads still long enough. At only 600 fps velocity, pellet will still pass clear through a starling.
The other is a bit bigger and badder and will put a .177 pellet through a 3/4" pine board. It is accurate enough a guy could shoot paint balls off golf tees at 50 yards.
No air tanks required, but special scopes and mounts for the scopes are.....less the jolt from the spring messes them up.
Air Arms TX 200
Beeman (or Weirauch) R7 (R30), R50, HW 77 or HW 97
You forgot they're require learning a new hold technique and even then can be hold sensitive. It's also not good for them to be left cocked very long. I will take my 29 year old Sheridan blue streak or my boys entry level pcp any day over a Springer. Just my personal preference. Have t shot a Springer I like yet.

the good ol days of the classic springers. the beeman versions were a little more modern but seem to recall most were still built in europe. probably the most iconic of sporter era was the german feinwerkbau 124.

I have a Benjamin trail. Gun works well but the accuracy isn’t very good. Need to get better optics on it before I blame the gun. Not really sure what a good scope is for this gun.
I'm itchin' to see a coyote twitchin'.
