Yes, but a slow recovery is probable. Alaska is out for now since out laws do not allow foreign registry vessels to ply between two or more US ports. With Canada closed, Alaska cruises can no longer ship from a US port to Alaska. I doubt there are any US registered cruise lines to fill that shipping void.

Their customers have money, free time, physically can't do much, large demographic, and running out of time. They will be fine.

^ this right here.

I've been buying a couple shares of Carnival each pay period.

As hard as this industry has been hit I would expect to see some consolidation. At this point there are too many operators competing for too few customers

Where is Disney registered? If they are US registered I would think they would have the upper hand cruising to Alaska

They should refurb all the cruise ships and make them floating old age homes for lazy rich people.
Sort of like the prison hulks from yesteryear.
Turn them end for end once in a while so the oldtimers think they are on a cruise.

Well I can tell you this, when they open back up my wife will be the first to start booking, lol. She takes about 3-5 cruises a year. She’s a “preferred customer” of some sort with Carnival. And 1 cruise away with Royal from “preferred” or whatever they call it. Luckily I’ve only been roped into a couple. Her thing is cruises and mine is traveling to turkey hunt. She just knows to not book during March-May.

Well I like cruises. Most relaxing vacation I've ever done. It's like an all-inclusive resort that takes me to different places while I lay around and drink. Sure there's people, but no traffic, lines, etc. I'd rather be in a cruise ship than a box store.

I hope they make it.

My kids keep telling me when I get old they are going to get me a job on an oil tanker. One of those with oil that no one wants so I can stay at sea three for years at a time.

If you price it, it’s way cheaper than a nursing home. All the food you want, sun and exercise, medical staff on board, maid service, room service...the perfect place to spend your last years.

It could be a great time to buy cruise industry stock but only if the companies stock you buy doesn't go out of business for good. If you buy real cheap it could be a windfall of money in a few years but if the company collapses and liquidates you would lose your investment.
