I agree, who cares where something is made as long as it works well and doesnt fall apart. A lot of chinese made stuff is junk.Made that way on purpose, for the consumer society. I remember, and some of the oldtimers will too, that back in the 60's made in Japan meant junky crap. Now today look at the vehicles out of Japan(made all over the world by the way).It is some of the best stuff made.
So when someone slaps-"Made in America"on something, its basically a marketing gimmick. Think about how the world works today.
What about "Made in Canada" is that a marketing gimmick for Canadians? or a source of pride? Same thing.

Just buying American won't bring back American production. Voting American will. No it won't we did that in November and look where we're at now.

Yep, global economy....ADC mentioned Turkish rebar, I use it, works fine.... Also use Duke 1.5 coils and they work fine.
Also Sleepy Creek 1.75 coils, all of them work great, and get the job done.

I reckon if you use the logic that everything has to originate in the USA for a product to be said to be Made In USA, then even though I've not said they are American made, I should probably put a disclaimer on some of my lures that they're not American made. I formulated and produced them out in my shed, but a few ingredients in the lures are imported from other countries. I think this stuff gets to be a bit ridiculous. I didn't think you advertised them as Made in the USA, maybe I'm wrong, (wife says I am frequently, lol). Curious are your bottles and caps American made? You are right as I said above.

You should care. The fact that almost nothing is made in USA anymore is one of the reasons why the middle class is dying, and why my grandfather had a much better standard of living than I do today.

That's what I was wondering about Jamey. I haven't bought steel, and didn't know if it was marked or not. none of the 1000' s of pounds of sheet steel or flat bar i cut punched or bent was stamped, but it was shown on the shipping paper work.

What about MB's? Are they made in the US?

Everbody has to decide for themselves what they want to buy. What I have a hard time with is marketers that knowingly lie in order to market. That lying will cause me to buy elsewhere.

Hold out as long as you can if you,
Believe your Bible. Pray to a Triune God. Appreciate the blessings of American life. Own a firearm that shoots real bullets. Trap wild animals for profit. Agree with the sanctity of marriage being between one man and one woman. Support the mom and pop retailers.
Those of us that do Are the remnant. And that's fine. We come well equipped.
Blessings, Mark

I saw duke was mentioned. Yes they are foreign made. As was said, Duke company employs several people. They don't hide that they use foreign parts. They are competitively priced. Duke company is a BIG supporter of fur trapping. I have no clue how many fur bearers I have caught in duke 1 1/2 coils and duke 120 bodygrips. Honesty is big deal to me.

If I go into a used car lot office with a lot of religious stuff on the walls I turn around and leave. Those places are the worst with dishonest marketing
