If it were me I would not bet that the market was improving this year. What one coyote sold for, is a long ways from a market advance. There are plenty of coyotes in the pipeline. We had over twice as may at NDFTA sale as we did last year, and figure we will have a good amount in March.

40 to 50% off by what I can tell lately I notice you held yours figuring the price was climbing I just don't see it happening. There were a fair amount of buyers that didn't do well on coyotes last year. Some bailed others out and lost in the end. The overseas buyers are where the problem is.

Coyote numbers are good. From what I’ve heard and seen the buyers are almost done out here. I sold on Sunday at $37 average. Almost killed me but I think I did the right thing. I had some dandy’s in there that I’m convinced wear $70-$80 dogs but just felt in my gut that I had to get rid of them. I was hoping for $40. Such is life

Pawnee, That is disappointing. Looks like you do an excellent job finishing them. Do you mind saying who you sold to? Thank you and everyone else for the responses. Like many I've mainly sold by auction clear back to Dominion/Soudack days. Some years good-some not so good. Trying to come up with a plan for this year. An excellent job of finishing wont make the commercials any better nor the SH's or heavies. The market today is for heavy coyotes (not many in KS) with good heavies at $90 basis that puts the good Semi's at $60 and the good commercials at $30 Most of the Kansas coyotes showed wear early, which drastically affects the price.
