Can’t believe I have to ask this, but what’s your secret to catching a dang mouse? My wife has a mouse in her office at work and the dang thing will leave little presents on her desk at night. I made her a mouse live trap to leave set on weekends, the janitor set sticky traps and regulat traps. We’ve tried hamburger, cheese, peanut butter, jelly, Oreo cookies, coconut shavings, and even pieces of a snickers. This has been going on for a month and we can’t catch the dang thing. We now have a trail camera set on her desk to try and get video of the dang thing. This thing is turning personal.......

Might try the ADC forum, those guys do this kind of thing for a living.

I always give them a little snack . A half a teaspoon along the wall. They never make it more than about 3 ft from their last supper .

Can’t do that, it’s a public building. That’s why I made the live trap.

1st stop feeding him. Are you sure you only have 1 mouse? Regardless make a bucket set with peanutbutter smeared on the "roller".

Exactly the sets I make- gets them every time.

Just make sure any other food is cleared out of the room , or it will just keep after the order in stuff

Take a piece of paper and twist it up..and clamp it in that pan....peanut butter on the paper...then put the trap ,tight to the wall ...they will find it

Don't tell anyone but ive struggled catching mice and pack rats a time or two also

I had one I couldn't catch in the kitchen probably 18 years ago. I tried everything nothing worked and a late night trip in the kitchen would result in that mouse streaking across the counter.

I put some osb on the counter and leaning against the wall for a while and just worked on top of it. One night that mouse streaked across that osb covered counter and stoped under a clear tubaware lid I could see it's feetvand shadow. One shotshell out if my rugger mark 2 .22 made that mouse have a flip top head. The tubaware was also a casualty.

Use one of those mini bear traps at mice sized cubby made of paper and tie the mini bear trap to a fishing weight thats what id try

Out here we all them a field mouse....the grey ones ,are called a house mouse

Haha! We rented a place in Mississippi to serve as our duck camp many years ago. This place was so drafty that a good North wind would blow out the pilot light on the hot water heater.
This place was also a mouse haven. After the first night with mice getting in our sleeping bags with us to stay warm, we went and bought a dozen mouse traps. We couldn’t get but to number three before we’d already caught a mouse. Think we ended up catching 22 that first evening. It got to be quite comical to see if we could get all the traps set before we’d catch one. All we used was peanut butter.
