I don't think Brady, Manning, or Brees would have played near as long as they have if they played when football was football. Rules let defenders punish players a lot more back then. Regardless of S.B. wins, I'm not sure if Brady is better than Montana. Open for discussion.

I have never watched football, but come from a working class family. Bust your butt if you want it bad enough. So the way I see it every generation before me had it harder, and so on and so on. You could get away with more. My dad use to drag race down Main Street, if I did that I would be in prison. His dad did worse than him and he would be in prison if my father did the same. Basically the point is it’s easier to be better if the game is not harder. America has gotten soft and so has its people.

Montana is certainly better. Football is too soft these days.

The game today favors quarterbacks I think manning is better than Brady, his neck injury basically put the writing on the wall that the rest of his career was going to be short lived, I do think that older quarterbacks are better even Bradshaw has said quarterbacks today couldn’t play when he did because they couldn’t take the abuse.

The writings on the wall. The patriots are great for over a decade. They have Brady. They play one season without Brady, the don't make the playoffs. Brady signs with a loser team, in the Superbowl. I don't really like the guy, but he is the GOAT.

Hard to say who's the goat the way rules have changed over time. Makes you wonder how they find people to play defensive anymore? The deck is stacked like being the bad guy in all star wrestling.

The thing, other than the division he played in, that really helped was he wasn't greedy on his contracts
. Which left room to get decent talent. Take a look at Rogers complaining about not getting any weapons yet he's about to ask for a new contract. Guess state farm isn't paying him enough it he's getting tired of doing ads.

Played in 9 super bowls so far, won 6, going to #10 in 2 weeks trying for ring #7. Love me some Patty Mahomes, statistically he has a chance to pass all QBS, but for rings, I don't see it being realistic.

Brady has set the bar so high I doubt any one alive ever sees it beaten.

I thought before this year the success was heavily on Belicheks shoulders, boy that sure seems to be wrong. I now believe it was about 90% Brady. Before Brady BB was a bum, sure seems to be reverting to that stature now.

Mahomes is going to change the game, and side by side (to Brady) I believe he will overtake most major QB statistical columns, except the one that really matters, SB rings, I hope he does, but I will have to see it to believe it.

Pains me to say it, but respect given where respect is due. Brady is the GOAT.

I’m not an NFL guy and have expressed my views as such.
BUT, seeing a Man leave a Championship team to basically a losing team and lead them to a Super Bowl the first year leaves little doubt that the previous team was successful because of him. Granted TB has gotten a lot of top round picks being at the bottom of the list, but still, Brady is the man. He may be arrogant and I really can’t stand him, but the man has an aura around him that bleeds winning and it’s contagious to his team mates.
