I bought a Henry lever 22 years ago brand new. Had it long enough to get a box of shells through it and traded it off. I'll never spend money on another Henry. I'm glad guys who love them have good luck
Remington nylon 66, TC 2000 or the stainless version Silver Linx. Remington for knock around, TC for headshots on grouse, and rabbit. Our pine squirrels aren’t fit to eat. The TC is the most accurate simi auto I’ve ever shot. Five you can cover with a quarter @ 50yrd with just about any ammo and almost a nickel with the stuff it likes. And that’s with a cheap scope with thick crosshairs. The Remington is just about indestructible and very light.

As far as trapping the wrangler all day. As far as ultimate .22 rifle my marlin model 60 with a dove tail to picatiny converter and a red dot. It raises the sight up makes it nice for coming up quick. It holds 18 rounds of a coon or man doesn’t go down with 18 rounds of 40 grain round nose to the head we all dead!
Trapping is what built North America, why take that away?

I have one of those little guns, bought 21 years ago when I was 18, first gun I ever bought. Shot lots of rabbits with it back then and now it stays in my truck and I use it when checking traps. I wouldn't buy one these days though, they cost too much, mine was 150 bucks.
