Who uses them and what’s your thoughts ? I’m either getting more MB-750 Alaskans, Bridger #5s, or these NO-BS wolf extremes for next season. They have 4 ts85 springs in them so they’re strong, just looking for feedback. I had no issues with the MB750 Alaskans but people tell me they they will eventually not be worth - I don’t know 🤷🏼‍♂️
I’m an amateur. Maybe I’m just over thinking this but I don’t wanna waste more money. I want something that will last. I’ll be doing mostly beach sets, (This word is unacceptable on Trapperman) post sets on spur roads and muskegs. Alaskan #9 is out of the question .

It only hurts once.
I am sitting here with popcorn waiting for reviews on the No BS Wolfer. I like their K9 Extremes ALOT. So far the #9 and Koro are what I will continue to invest in.

Yea the Alaskan #9 is just too much for me. I know guys who trap a lot of wolves here with the Bridger Alaskans #5 though and I can get those for $35 compared to $130 for the Alaskan #9. I can get four dozen Bridgwr Alaskans for the price of a dozen Alaskans. And with - Biden at the helm now, who knows if I’ll be ale to afford them for long 😂.
I was really curious about the NO BS Wolf trap because it’s in the middle sort of, at $57 if I get a dozen. I know the ts85 springs are good to go, and I like the size of the NO BS. I just wanna know if they hold up and are worth it. Everyone talks about the k9 version for coyotes being great I know that.

My next trap purchase will be the no bs wolf trap. I’ll keep Adding to my wolf gear a few traps at a time. Grab a koro or ak9 here and there too whenever I can

I run both NO BS K-9 extreme, and the wolf extremes. Catching and holding wolves in both. I really like the wolf extreme, have had nice pad catches on wolves and lions. Kendall is building a great trap for wolf trapping. right out of the box just add your chain and swivels and you are in the field trapping. I will be adding another 2 dozen to my line of the wolf extremes for next year. Wilson

Thank you John, that’s what I was looking for. I can’t find anyone using them online anywhere , just the K9 Extremes. So you’re catching wolves in the K9 extremes too?????

Why wouldn't a CDR7.5 work on wolf? It's the best beaver trap out there, IMO. Cost-wise it sure beats the wolf traps you are mentioning.

The difference between animals and humans is that animals would never let the dumbest ones lead the pack.

I did catch one last year in a K-9 extreme, No damage to trap, right back in the ground. The only bad part on K-9 is when dealing with lots of snow, the bigger is better. I back up alot of the wolf sets with a K-9.

A Beaver Trap is not A wolf Trap. Much different springs.

@John Wilson. Have you had any issues setting pan tension on the Wolf Extremes? What are you setting your pan tension at for wolf and lion?

Maybe it depends on what type of terrain you are trapping in, when want the weather conditions have been, if you use drags or stake them solid, how many swivels you use and if you use spring on your chain. How big the wolf that steps in the trap is and maybe even the amount of pan tension you have on the trap
A personal observation is it takes a bigger jawed trap to come up through 4" of snow to make a paw catch than it generally does one on dry ground. There have been a bunch of wolves caught and held by coyote trappers with #3 Montgomery traps. Are they a wolf trap, NO THEY ARE NOT! Will they work sometimes, Yes they will. Like I sort of said in my first sentence, there are lots of variables with needs because of them and then there are personal opinions, some based on facts and some based on what you want of think.
I will also give you one piece of Old Man information, "There is not a wolf trap made that will catch every wolf that steps on and fires a trap." This is a great place to get advice and information, so sort through it and make your own personal choice, as long as it is legal, it primarily isn't anyone else's business what you decide to spend your $ on.
Now is you want to know about wolf "snare cable size and snare locks" that is not a question for discussion, everyone is in agreement on those! LOL
Pete

I look forward to hearing success and failure from the No BS wolfer. I love the K9 Extreme as a purposed wolverine trap.

My 2c though. I am not sold on the dogless setup. I prefer the smaller and centered pan/dog system, like the #9. Also, size does matter with wolf traps.
