This morning I realeased a nice cat and I'm seeing more and more sign every year. I see people on the WI Facebook page releasing cats all the time. My question is, when is it time for WI to change the season structure and can it be done so that trappers and hound hunters can agree? Do we set a quota for trappers and have a draw system for hound hunters? Do we have people buy a cat tag incase they catch one? Do we get rid of the split season?

I don't have all the awnsers but I know that when hound hunters target cats, they know what they are going after. When trappers set a dirthole, they can catch any predator.

I'm in support of hound hunting and trapping and would like it to be fair for all, but this 10 year wait for a tag stincks when you release a cat every year or two.

How do other states deals with bobcat numbers and the two groups that target them?

Thoughts, ideas?
