we had chicken pot pie Saturday. the recipe chosen used regular pie crust.
it was good but we decided we could just as sell make the gravy and vegetables and have it over rice , egg noodles or biscuits.
America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

Your ingrediencies look good. My wife has made this a few times. She has a hard time making it without the gravy being absorbed but she is working on it. I mention this because yours looks like maybe the same? actually it had enough in the middle but next time I will cut the dough in half or add more gravy in the middle. It came out about 4 inches thick with 3 inches being dough. Easy fix next time but then we really like the crust, and shared it with the dog. It was easy to make and very filling which is what I was after.

Looks like mashed potatoes on top, we always called that shepherds pie. Pie crust on top was pot pie. Call it what you will they both are excellent.

That aint a pot pie Steve.Pot pies have a bottom and top crust. When I make my pot pies,,I have my wife make a nice pie crust WITH LARD for the bottom crust,,then I fill that,, and for a top crust I mix up Bisquick and pour that over the top. That makes a nice thick top crust that also acts as dumplings in the pie.I probly could eat the one you made though.
