It’s gettin to be about time to start thinking about ordering seeds to start in the greenhouse. Who do you order your seeds from? I’m lookin for a reputable dealer for uncommon seeds. Not the run of the mill varieties you can get at any box store

I have to jump on the Baker Creek band wagon also. Very good selection & great service for me over the past 11 years or so.
Free shipping. The prices don't seem all that bad to me. Yes, a few are pricey, but for the most part they are very fair.
And they are very generous with their seed count.

Just got a Shumway catalog in the mail, I've never ordered from them but looking through it there's a lot of old heirloom varieties...

I'm on the Baker Creek band wagon. Great folks and they have traveled the world literally in search of heirloom seeds. I have driven the 7 hrs twice to their spring planting festival. Their seed vault is impressive as is 5he order fulfillment system.
In all great products and family business to support.

We buy all of our organic seeds from Fruition Seeds in Naples, NY. They grow very well in our climate, but we probably have a cooler climate than you.

Gurney's Was a great Company in the past. But they changed in so many ways.

Product got small, lighter in all counts.

Tripled in price.

Schumway gets most of my business. They have 5 or six companies in one building. Totally Tomatoes, Jung Seeds, Schumway, Vermont Bean Seed, and some I don't remember.
Sometimes I have entered item # from other catalogs on a Schumway order and received the product. Don't even open Gurney's anymore. 50 % off and still double the price. Mike

Got that right. Everyone is putting in orders now because of this last year. Another wrinkle is the postal system and delivery system of them getting seeds from their off-shore suppliers. Air cargo is not travelling like it was before c-19
So all it takes is one item in your list to have not come in to be packaged for the order to stall on the floor.
Now do they ship -or- wait. Ship then they have to do two mailings. Wait and they have to respond to umpteen emails from unpatetic customers.

Bit pricey but they have some fantastic seeds with some of the best disease resistance packages I have found. Also saved some seeds from last season.

I am buying canning supplies now. smile

Good Idea

Remember last fall?
