Anybody here own or have used a Snowdog tracked machine for ice fishing, hunting, trapping or wood hauling? If yes, how do you like it and would you buy another one or look elsewhere for the above mentioned winter activities?
My cousin won one at his job two years ago. Asked him about it and says he loves it. But for the price I would think I could buy a used snowmobile for a fraction of the price.
Common sense is a not a vegetable that does well in everyone's garden.
I am sure illegal in Pa but else where that look great for ice fishing. How deep of snow can that get through? Powder snow?
Ill bet its legal. In fact, most states dont require any registration as it doesnt fit under definition of ORV or snowmobile. There was a thread on here a couple years ago. Seems like someone was looking at them. Not sure if they purchased, might try the search feature.
I thought these Snow Dogs were a gimmick until I seen a video of a guy dragging a moose out of the woods with one! Another video skidding logs with it! Year round use too!
I have 2 of the hus-skis from the early 60s and a diablo rouge from the late 60s I know the hus-skis are 8hp and other is 10 hp and are a lil under powered for hauling a large load but the deiablo rouge has plenty of yank for hauling a old car hood with fire wood on it . not sure about them new rigs but as long as they are at least 15 hp they should be fine they are lite an will go any ware ya point em
