matt OP trapper Joined: Dec 2006 Posts: 676 Webster County W.V	A local sport shop that has a good amount of trapping supplies is going out of business. He has a good amount of Hawbakers lure among others. Have never tired it, is it any good? I saw some Coyote and wolf gland #1, Ruby Red fox, a fisher lure, coon #1 and a muskrat. Thanks Live each day as if it were your last. We know not at which hour it will come. Life is too short.Tell your loved ones each day how much you love them

However when I used to trap rats I was never without Hawbaker's # 1 muskrat lure, it really does attract muskrats. I never was very fond of some of their canine lures though. Lures on the muskrat line are for efficiency. Quicker. Faster. Done and gone. I haven't trapper rats in a while but grew up cutting my teeth on it and lure is a go-to.

Thanks Hawbaker's Red Fox Gland Lure 100 was one of my go to lures for many years. Hawbaker's no longer makes the lures made under that name and, in my opinion, the quality has suffered. I no longer use them. If it is old stock then yeah, buy it and catch some critters. Eh...wot?
