Does anyone have experience with Fischer dispatch poles?
Any pros or cons?

I had one a few years ago and it was well made and it did what it was designed for. The cons are that it is heavy and it is a pain and time consuming trying to get a loop around a coon’s neck.

Boco: above

Yep, works like a charm, don't have to shoot critters. Do to its weight, snug it up and lay it down to release, you don't have to dispatch if you want to just release. That could be a disadvantage as it is really heavy, mine is mounted on the ATV where my rifle mounts are. No cable twist but I've only used it couple dozen times. Pretty expensive though. Dispatched several fox and coyotes, and released 4 dogs. I like the 4 foot length as it keeps me out of the catch circle. Waiting to try it on bobcats.

Made my own dispatch pole. Lightweight and cheap. Tap the coon with the back side to daze em, and get them to sit still long enough and get the cable up high on their neck. Will put them out quick, but the cable needs to be right below the ears. Otherwise if it's too low it takes too long. Have used it around 15 times. Haven't had to change the cable yet, but once I do it will be cheap and easy. As you squeeze the handle grip it acts like a wood clamp and pulls the cable tight as you slowly tightened more and more with each squeeze.
