As I read it, a NR can obtain a CC permit in Florida but I suppose the person giving the class makes the call. Has anyone done this? It can be done for $50 at an upcoming gun show.

I got my Florida carry permit years ago. Did it all by mail. Had my NRA safety class paperwork , fingerprint cards etc , just mailed it in , got the permit about a month later.

Not up on current requirements however , not sure how they do it now.

I got my Florida concealed carry 2 years ago .Very easy procedure. You get the paperwork from thier dept of agriculture. When you get the paperwork you fill it out and send it back. Its good for 10 years.

I believe you can still do it on line if you already have a CC permit in a different state.

I've been stubbornly clinging to the 2A as my CC permit but having the card could avoid a lot of trouble if stopped in the wrong place.

It looks like the CC permits are reciprocal in nearly every state except the typical unconstitutional states..

Gary , I think your states CC is accepted in FL. Check with a local FFL holder near you to be sure. FFL holders know the gun laws better than LEO's.

I got a FL carry permit because I live in one of those unconstitutional states. With a carry permit (FL) that is recognized by many constitutional states , I kinda have my rights restored a little bit. I've also carried a lot when visiting FL. Been in Disney World carrying many times. I hear now you can't carry on Disney property anymore.

Do think it over. Probably not worth a felony charge. That said I have a AZ cc card along with my IL card. Arizona accepted my training class when I did IL. The AZ card covers me when traveling to several states.

USCCA has a good app and website for initial research on reciprocity
