I'm going to Texas to hunt some wild hogs. I was wondering if anyone has had any luck calling them? I am headed out with a few seasoned professionals, but we briefly chatted about trying calling them. I have a FoxPro Shockwave.

So anyone have any tips or sounds?

I've not done it but I have heard other guys say they show up sometimes. I'd guess a fawn bleat would be the place I would start. Find a watering hole that is still muddy and get down wind- hard to say what might come out of the brush

Glenn Guess calls hogs. Check out the videos, sounds, and follow other links to similar information.

Good luck on your hunt. Texas has hogs!

i remember hearing about Glenn Guess before. I saw several videos and read a few articles. He knows what he's doing. Since I'm heavily invested in FoxPro, I bough a couple more hog sounds for my Shockwave. Hopefully I'll get to report back next month with some success stories, pics and vidoes.

Got a buddy down the road a bit who's been calling mature boars using fawn nosies
