White pages is $4.99 a month I believe. If you combine that with basemap, onX or hunstand, you have pretty much all you need to find someone. County GIS websites have the info for free but it's often out of date.

I'm not having any issues finding who the land owner is, I'm mostly trying to find a phone number to contact them. What I'm doing now is finding the landowner on on x and then googling the name and address. There are a few sites that generally have a phone number listed and sometimes you can see it for free and others they want you to pay a membership to get that info. I was just wondering if any one had used those sites and if the info was good or if it's worth paying for. I may try writing letters it just always feels a little impersonal and if you read any of my posts you'll see that writing isn't my strong suit. Do platt books usually provide a contact number? I guess I've been reluctant to buy the platt books because I live in the corner of 4 counties and have been to cheap to buy them. But if they will reliably provide contact info it would be worth it.

Bernie, have you used the whitepages site? Is the info good? Does it really give cell phone numbers?

Yes I am a subscriber and the amount of info on there is actually kinda scary. Current phone numbers are usually accurate, sometimes cell numbers are outdated.
