Geha 12 gauge bolt, anyone the backstory. Yep, they were built on 98 Mauser actions from military surplus actions. I actually just found a really nice stock for one in my junk.
I have nothing clever to put here.

All of my dad’s guns are my favorites. If I had to pick one I guess it would be his pre-64 Winchester in 30-06. He killed elk, moose and bear with that gun from Alaska to Newfoundland and from the Rockies to the east coast.
He killed dozens of deer and hundreds and of ground hogs with it here in PA.
I’m doing my best to carry on the tradition with that old rifle.
Second favorite would be dad’s old Marlin 336 in .35 Remington. Dad bought it new in 1953 and killed his first buck with it that same year. I killed my first buck with it and my daughter killed her first buck with it. Hopefully my granddaughter carries on that tradition next year when she turns twelve.
Eh...wot?

Got a Winchester Model 12,,16gauge when I was 9 years old(53 years ago).Killed pretty much everything with that gun.Rabitts, ducks, geese, partridge,,squirrels and deer.My older son has it now,,and will pass it down to one of his sons.

The most mysterious gun I inherited from my dad is an old Lovell Champion manufactured in the early 1900s as far as I can tell. I found it leaning in a corner of an out building when I was going through his stuff after he had passed away. I’m pretty sure it belong to my grandfather but I was never told anything about this gun and really don’t know anything about it.
Information about them is hard to find. If anybody knows anything about, or has any sources of information on a single shot Lovell Champion, 12 gauge hammer gun, I would appreciate it.
