I was watching a you tube video by Urban Hunterz and he said while you could use a cotton ball soaked a little lure you could use possum fur as a replacement for the cotton ball. Will this work? Has anyone tried this?

Sheep’s wool is best imo. Nothing, and I mean nothing will touch my raccoon or possum carcass piles. Beaver and muskrat are eaten within the first couple nights, and possum or coon will sit there till spring untouched. Sheep’s wool is so easy to get. Chances are if you know someone who shears sheep, you’ll have enough wool to last a lifetime.

The nice part about a cotton ball is it can be exposed. In Wi sheeps wool is preferred, however it must be covered. I wouldn't mess around with possum fur.
