I went to website to order some stuff. I like the flat rate shipping. Went to website said it shut down retail side. Only a wholesaler now that sucks. I wanted them to build me some snares.

Capitalist society. They feel they can make more or better money that way. Tons of retailers out there. Allan Minear on here makes some might fine snares.

I am finding that shipping is single handedly one of the biggest hurdles in the retail game. My little operation doesnt partake too much in shipping out. Mostly trying to keep sales local and hand off or delivered by me. But I will say there is a big cost out the door to get items shipped to me. the flat rate shipping that they offered was great but i can clearly see how they would not want to maintain that moving forward. Lots of folks getting out of the retail game leaving it to others to distribute thier goods.

One of two things will occur. Either we will get to the point where the buyer just pays the shipping costs for thier items and then they can see the actual costs of thier goods or we will start to weed out a lot retailers that just want to stay on the wholesale side and not deal with individual orders.

The Cellular industry is in the middle of this transistion now. You used to get a free phone or your whole family got free phones and then you had to pay inflated rates for the duration of the contract. Now a lot of folks are actually happy buying a phone out right and maintaining a device with an actual monthly bill that is closer to reflecting actual monthly running costs. Some folks still like those "free" phones. Or in this instance "free" shipping.

Hoosier trapper supply is only a 20 minute drive form my house but I usually order from other places because if I buy $200 or more I can get it cheaper than going to Charlie's place because of no sales tax and reasonable shipping prices. I use his top dog predator bait and some of his lures but seldom buy directly from him because it's cheaper when I order out of state.

I just bought some Dakota Line products from my local trapping supply dealer a couple weeks ago. Grizzly Rose Trapline supply of Hot Springs SD. Tuffy Halls is also the owner of Black Hills Baits also. He owns the old Odon Corr animal lure receipts plus he makes some of his own too. Phone number 605-890-2009.

Learn to make them. It's not that difficult. Once you have the components, you can reuse them to build new ones.
