My wife and I had our first child 5 weeks ago... he went c section.... there’s been no problems so far, tell you the truth the dr was surprised how well she bounced back.... there was a little blood discharged for a couple weeks after... than nothing until now.... today she urinating blood, like heavy blood...mixed with urine it’s like 50/50... it’s definitely coming from her urine... as I seen it... she had a catheter during c section.... no other symptoms... called the doctor to day and they told her to drink cranberry juice to flush system... if theres still blood on Sunday go to er.. any ideas what’s going on with my wife, I’m worried.... it also leaks when she’s just sitting, not urinating thanks

not a Dr but you should call her Dr. now and get her checked out , if it is nothing then nothing lost

We already did, told us to monitor it.... this pandemic got everything messed up, I was susposed to go for a colonoscopy and they put me on hold... what if something’s wrong with me... not saying it is.... bwtf

Does she have a fever? Do you know what her pulse is? Are you able to take her blood pressure? Is the blood bright red, dark red or brown?

No symptoms, what so ever, blood color is bright red, but u mix it with urine it’s almos cloudy

My wife and I are both EMTs...This is way above my pay grade, but my wife thinks its possible the bladder could have been nicked during the C-section. I know this covid nonsense is making it hard for people like you and your wife who really need medical attention. You didnt say how much blood, but you did say "heavy" If I was in your position I would take her to the ER immediately. Better safe than sorry. Make them look at her, thats their job. Currently we are experiencing our lowest ambulance call volume since we've been on our ambulance crew and thats more than 10-years now. The reason is that people are not calling when they should. Heavy blood loss should always be considered an emergency. Congrats on the son, and I hope your wife gets in soon.

I’m not sure I would wait until Sunday to go to the ER. I have no,idea what is going on but it doesn’t sound like something that you should be monitoring at home.

My dad is a c4/c5 quad and gets cronic UTI/bladder infections. Blood in the urine is very often a tell take sign. She should be able to get it cleared up with antibiotics easy if that's the case. Best of luck to you both.

Go to the ER. While is getting checked out shop around for a new DR.

this whole pandemic thing sure is weird , I had to visit the hospital for an ultrasound week ago friday , blood clot , normally when you have one that is the last time you walk for days , nope gave me instructions over the phone get my pills then 5 days in bed.

when my dad has had blood clots they have never let him take a step again once they have the ultrasound done.

The hospital was deserted , I saw 1 other patient in the building while I was there.
