A pretty good one can be made too. Put a couple garlic cloves, a 1/4 onion, a couple small or one big jalapeno pepper, everything chopped up, in a quart jar. Fill the jar with boiling hot apple cider vinegar. Let it cool a couple hours and put it in the fridge for 48 hours or days. Then pour the vinegar through a screen sieve keeping the vinegar. You can eat the onion garlic pepper if you like in a salad.

Pour the vinegar into a big pan. Add in 4 cups tomato sauce
1 1/3 cup tomato paste
1 1/3 cup honey
1 cup molasses, unsulfured
2 tsp salt
2 tsp coarsely ground black pepper
2 tsp paprika
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp chili powder

Heat it SLOWLY while stirring. Bring to a simmer and simmer about 5 minutes. Dont stop stirring. Pour it into sterilized pint jars and water bath it 20 minutes or pressure it to ten pounds and turn the fire off under your pressure canner.

Apple cider vinegar, red pepper flakes, black pepper, and salt. Usually make a gallon at a time.

I have used Blue Hogs .It is tasty and cheap but it contains High Fructose corn syrup which I try to avoid.I like Clark Crew. Its a competition sauce.I also make an excellent oil/vinegar sauce for chicken that came from here like 55 years ago: https://www.brooksbbq.com/
