Gov Walz has lifted the State of Minnesota lock-down

Minnesota residents can go outside to

• fish
• golf
• walk
• shoot

Sources say that in the foreseeable future they may even be able to leave their yards for these purposes.

I think I have been doing all of those things besides golf anyway but nice to have permission now.

Yep, Texas is opening too.

Guess this social experiment is about over.

It's barely safe to step outside, lead flying everywhere.

I'm not sure I'd make any claim until I understood the Statute of Limitations.

I have been doing those things alone on my own property ...I would think that would have been OK with the Gov.

Then you admit to have stepped outside the door?

I'm not meaning to argue, but with the exception of golf, I believe all of these things were permissible since the first day of the shelter-in-place order. I remember him clarifying things such as fishing and hunting when he first announced it. I was confused as to why it was being mentioned by him again since I recall him already discussing it a few weeks ago. Maybe he did so just to reaffirm that people can get outside recreationally while things are still shut down.

The lockdown sure isn't lifted as restaurants, bars and "non-essential" businesses remain closed, and people are supposed to be staying home and not interacting with the public.

This is the way I understood things.

I think I saw somewhere that Minnesota could not afford to test all of us.

So the plan is to install ankle bracelets and invisible fence to keep us confined.

They are making phones and recruiting your neighbors to alert the authorities of your misdeeds now, no need for a fence.

I just hope they don't all come to WI. LOL

The problem with Walz's order is we are still not supposed to take unnecessary travel but sturgeon opener is upon us and those living along Rainy River will see a huge influx of people from outside our area. Koochiching county and Lake of the Woods counties have closed their accesses to the river but the state has refused to close their two accesses. Koochiching county has had only one case confirmed and LOW has had none. WE DON'T NEED OR WANT YOU COMING OUT OF THE AREA TO COME AND FISH RIGHT NOW. PLEASE STAY HOME or fish near your own home.

I wouldn't worry about that. As bad as MN is, Wi is currently worse. That could change come May 4.

MN4Life. I'm domiciled in the Metro area, but, come up there on a regular basis delivering medications. Should I stay home too?

It's ok to bring them what they want, but then get your butt home.

It has surprised me how little this stay at home order affected me. Still had to go to work, every store I needed to go to was still open except for the garden store. Just have to wait to get seed taters and onions. Had to use a drive thru window for picking up lunch. Otherwise I went fishing when I wanted to. Never ran out of anything I needed. I sure hope things do not get worse here in mn. Hope you all are doing well.
