we Found one that fits what we are looking for size wise and price as well. It’s a B/R Trailers brand. Any one ever heard of them? Appears to be an outfit out of Arkansas but I can’t find much else about them

Looks like a decent trailer. What kind of hoist is under it? Most of the problems I have seen are the hoist or bent metal from not being able to dump the bed when loaded. It's also nice to have a up and down pump instead of a gravity fall. Is that one wet paint or powder coat? Wet paint will be cheaper.

I hate to recommend it but there is a company close to Joplin that sells dump trailers called 4 state trailers. They carry the ones we build, friesens trailers. The company is pretty picky and gives a hard time about everything but they do have good trailers.

Dad called and talked to the guy selling them. Said it’s a small outfit that makes them said only 10 or 15 employees. Said he gets two trailers in from this outfit every Friday and they usually sell within the week, last week they both sold on Saturday, they’ve been doing this for 3 or 4 years and he hasn’t ever gotten a call about any trouble with the trailers. My dad and brother are the ones buying the trailer, if my brother doesn’t make enough money with his tree business using this I told him I would buy out his half so I guess that’s why I’m curious. Plus I’m the one that will have to go get it this week, gonna be about a 4 1/2 hour drive each way

related trailer question,
does the 12 volt wire that is connected from tow vehicle have enough amp capacity to run 12 volt electric/hydraulic pump on lift section without tripping fuse for this trailer?
Is this the same way a 12 volt winch on a boat trailer gets it's power?
Sorry for jumping on your thread.
Gary

Mine is 7 years old and the power from the tow vehicle just powers the lights and brakes dump gets power from the 12 volt battery which you charge or wait until the solar cell charges it

Michael that sounds about like what we build. We do put a trickle charger on the side of the tool box to charge the battery. We also use the scissor hoist. Sounds like a good trailer to me.

This is how the ones we build are also we either use a solar or trickle charger. We use interstate deep cycle marine batteries.

Bri Mar is what we have and can't complain just make sure you don't buy a single cylinder dump a scissor may work ok as long as the ram is large enough , never regreted buying one.

Iowa,
Does it happen to list the gauge metal used in the floor and the sides ? Also how far apart are floor joists ? Floor joists with too much spacing you'll get wavy floor sooner

Funny this thread came up.
I'm going to look at a new 5' X 10' "Loadtrail" on Thursday. looks to be one of the best built heavy duty ones in could find. (online anyways)
5" cylinder- scissors lift
3 way gate.
10Ga. floor and sides.

Only thing i'm not sure of is it has (2) 3500# axles for a GVWR of 7000#. I emailed the company in Texas where they are built to see what the trailer actually weighs (they don't list it) so i can figure its payload. I haven't heard a thing in 2 days... I'm thinking this trailer is probably close to 2500# dry which only leaves me a 4500# payload. the trailer holds 3 yds. but at that rate 2 yds of top soil or crushed gravel and I'd be at max capacity or over. I'm not quite sure what to do other than order one with 5200# axles but they are another 1500$

my biggest concern for them(and possibly me if he ends up selling out his half to me) is that by spending less than some of the bigger named trailers it may just be a pos
