Much easier solutions. 1. Make the horses walk, they have legs. 2. Sell the horses which will solve many smaller problems, but could create a bigger problem.
I saw a 6.0 that belonged to a mechanic that was for sale.. He had deleted and had it running strong. I drove it but passed
Instead, I bought a new 2019 with the 6.7. It could not be better.

Most of the bugs were worked out in later years. Have a 2005 F350 6.0 at work. Crew cab, 8' bed, 4wd. Pulls 6 to 10k a few days a week.
Liked it so well, bought my own. Both had EGR issues, early on, covered under warranty.
No issues since. Stone stock, used hard. Both at or near 200k.
Both used as trucks, not brodozer, smoke rolling hotrods.
Key is proper maintenance, using CORRECT parts.
The stigma attached to it results in some great deals. Find one an older couple used to tow a camper twice a year with. Stone stock! Run an Oasis report.
Funny thing, have a 2011 6.7. Cab had to come off just out of warranty. $700 in parts, $3000 labor....

I had 2 over 4 years and the only problem I had was the EGR valve. I do lots of idling and EGR valves don’t like that.
Everything the left touches it destroys

So, to the guys that enjoy 6.0....
What’s your thoughts on a 2004 ford 350 4 door crew cab 8 ft box 4x4 with 210,000 km asking 10,000 Canadian? If the body is clean I think that’s an ok deal. Jmo

Do Not Do It. Absolutely the biggest nightmare I ever owned was a 2003 6.0 Powerstroke. Lots of fun to drive and it had a mean turbo whistle, but that truck left me sitting at least 6 different times. Turbo boots blown off because of a horrible design, FICM malfunctions, Oil Cooler, Oil Pumps, Injectors crapping out........massive bed rail rot, cab corners, and fenders.
Just an awful truck. I drove that thing all over to dealer lots looking to get rid of it and nobody would even be willing to trade it in. Made the truck darn near worthless. Finally found a small used truck dealer who traded it.
Terrible Truck.
Nowadays it just don't pay to be a good 'ol boy.

7.3 here. 6.0 have a lot more hp and are good if the egr is deleted and the head is studded. I drive one for hauling cars. (6.0) what is the benefits of egr delete? I am not a diesel driver normally so don't know much about them although I am learning.
Wish I had more time to trap....
