The company I work for has been deemed essential. When the chinese flu thing started they said they would help people get what they needed. This was when it was hard to get. Last week one third of the company got layed off. Salaried employees had to take a 10% pay cut. Our quarterly bonus was eliminated. Yesterday 16 pallets of toilet paper showed up at our loading dock. They are giving every employee 48 rolls of free TP. It cost them $8000. I would have much rather had a bag of potatoes and a box of fruit or something. Or my quarterly bonus. Unreal.

That’s just weird, through all of this i’ve been able to maintain my normal supply of toilet paper which is a dozen or so rolls for a family of 5. What are these people eating?

TrapperDR I work for a plastics company that 98% of our work is little plastic car parts. Our other 2% is miscellaneous plastic parts like toothbrushes, plastic shot glasses and drink tokens. I'm not really complaining about working but I don't think they thought it through.

I also work for a company that is essential. There is a good chance that the company I work for made that tp that you got (unless they got you the cheap stuff). No pay cuts and no lay offs here tho. As a matter of fact they have been hiring. They have put in place some stupid rules tho.

We still don't have tp available in the Ace hardware , I tried this week. I have been calling around and I think Wal-Mart and Costco has it. But other than that , it's a no go.

Apparently one of our mangers knows someone in a TP factory or paper Mill? $8000 on toilet paper. Could have been spent on better things I think.

You are probably right about TP being a poor investment but he probably doesn't want people showing up for work all stinky.
