Straight from the department of health and human services....327 hospitalizations, and 41 deaths. And a notation that says they're only counting deaths that have influenza listed on the death certificate and that the actual death amount is higher. And those stats are from 2 weeks ago. Even if corona virus is more infectious and has a higher death rate, the flu so far at least has a higher total number of infections and deaths by far. So why no panic over 41 deaths? Surely that number would be lower if we all stayed home and cowered in fear, but we don't for the flu, so why are we doing it for this new disease? I'm curious if anyone has flu stats from their state.

According to Wisconsin public health office as of March 14, Wisconsin had 92 Flu deaths and 1583 Pneumonoia.

Had a good friend die about 5 years ago from one of the flu viruses going around and the government didn't shut down the country, nobody cared then.
