1st Beav!!! And if anyone has any suggestions for the beaver that left his toe nail in trap, I’d be all ears. I think I had my trap too far back for a bridger size 3 and didn’t have deep enough water with the back foot catch I had. I was trying to be 8” back from poke stick for a front foot catch.

Congratulations. Welcome to the addiction that is beaver trapping. To me they are the trophy of water trapping.

Way to go!!! Try a snare or blind set where they are leaving the water for the one that got away.

Life sure is tough when you don't learn from the mistakes of others.

I got that toeless rascal. That Backbreaker has some draw!! He come to a different set for the same smell. The borrowed 5DLS worked perfect.

Nice job! Congratulations! You now have been infected with beaver trapping fever!

Remember as a kid we played army and you gave up the fort so the other side got it? Of course you don't. Little kids aren't that stupid.

I like the 5 LS for beaver.
Dont use a snare for beaver if you are trapping for the fur.Unless you drown it in the snare there will be bad damage on the fur and it will be downgraded every time.
Snares are fine under ice or on a drowner setup.
Congrats on the beavers.

You are getting off to a great start and have caught a couple of big ones to begin with too. Congratulations on getting the toe nail clipped one so soon. Good job!
