This coming Saturday morning 8AM Williams AZ.
Williams Park and Rec Skatepark building.

Check your fur in early on Friday afternoon/evening and we can get out earlier on Saturday.

Lunch available for a few bucks and a couple of raffles will be offered.
I will likely donate a set of cage traps. Chance to get them cheap!

I'm also going to be cleaning out the bone yard here at the house and hauling a bunch of used/prototype cage traps over for any kids there via a free raffle.

Been trying hard to get multiple bidders to come so we could recreate the crazy buying we had last year.

So far only Western Montana Fur (Libby Kortum) has committed.
I'll keep trying.

Is this an open auction or sealed bid sale? Thanks.

Open just like last year.

With only possibly one buyer might have to call it "negotiated" bid. LOL

Yes AZ does have a buyers license.
I bought one last year. Like - $115 or so if I recall correctly.

It would be worth going just for a shot at the cage traps! If it wasn’t my anniversary, I would be going even without any fur.

If traps work like the Antis say......I would have no fingers.

Arizona fur sale is on schedule !

This Saturday 8:00 am Williams Arizona.
Park and Rec Skateboard park building.
If you can bring your furs in Friday afternoon/evening for early check-in so the buyers can get a head start on grading.

As of today I have a solid confirmation from Libby Kortum Western Montana Furs and a 99% know for sure tomorrow If Mike Pappas will be able to make it.

With the way the fur market is and all the Corona Virus mess if we could get the two biggest cat buyers there we really couldn't ask for more.

Looks like we easily have 400 bobcats and an assortment of coyotes and other stuff.

I know we all would agree that we(especially in AZ) owe Mercer a great debt of gratitude for his perseverance and determination in helping set up the ATA fur sale for the last several years. It takes a lot of time and planning(even bribery sometimes) to get good buyers for our furs. You cannot find a better man that is connected to this country’s trapping community and helps fight for our rights as trappers. Cudos to ML.
I see great things for Arizona and the ATA in the future.

I look forward to trapping Arizona again. Won't be until I retire and move back home. I thought about going out this next season, but I see the non-resident license went up. Not sure when, but last time I went it was $50 and now it's over $200. I can't justify paying that when I'm limited to cages on public, and the small amount of private ground I have lifelong permission on. Only 8 more years, and I won't have to worry about it. I'll be back in the desert where my heart has always been.

Even if it is only Libby there, you are going to be treated fairly. Same option, don't like the offer take them home. The cat market is nearly non existent, George and Libby are doing all they can to help out those that have cats.

Big thumbs up to Mercer and those trying to get you paid for your efforts in a constantly declining market!!!
