I use to have a dog that would go out in the spring and find those fresh cow pies that weren't really "pies" but more like soup. She would completely cover herself with the slop then proudly come home; she did have a rather guilty look on her face at times. I think she knew she really shouldn't be doing it, but she just couldn't help herself. "My life is better than your vacation"
