Finally got out to do some chronographing on my 30-06 and trajectory valadition in my 7.62x39 , anyone elese get to do some shooting ?

Wolfdog.....was doing this last weekend with my nephews....It’s called ice fishing..where you drill a hole in the ice...then put a tip up with a smelt on the hook.....and wait for the flag to go up !

I did. Went the last three Saturdays to the outside range. Only one other person had the same idea last week. Still 16" of snow on the ground so tending to the targets at 100 yards is tough!

Knee high rubber boots worked although the trips downrange were few!

I got to shoot yesterday it was trap for my school team didn't shoot too bad I shot 43 out of 50.

Good job! Keep it up and help recruit other students and friends into the sport!

Thanks we are trying all the time its crazy how much of the sport is in your mind my coach said that and I thought he was nuts until it was proven to me over and over again.

Do you have a spotting scope ? Most of the twits that shoot at our club...call a time out..then walk 100 yards to check their groups. Then the 2 Nd time they ask for another time out....I say..come ovah here and look through my scope,so I don’t have to be here all day......duh !

Yes! A 60 power so that helps. Still have to walk down to place or change targets out.

We have quite an active high school trap team here as well. Have helped raise a lot of money for the supplies and equipment required to help lower the costs to the participants.

How many people in your club.....our club keeps it 175 max.

I am life member 277. I believe we are at 350 for active members, Have two very nice ranges that are 10 miles apart. One is mainly trap, skeet and sporting clays. The other is rifle and pistol with a cowboy action facility as well.

Our club has a lot of land....and hosts a Bow and Arrow 3D woods walk competition twice a year.Other clubs around have the indoor pistol range and 500 yards ranges....trap and skeet....but they have ovah 600 members and getting a spot to shoot can be tough...I don’t need that aggravation . If I see 2-3 people at our range ...it’s crowded...lol

I need to get out and shoot but finding time is a problem for me. Not travel time I have a 100 yard range ot ons of my houses and a 500 yard range on the back of the house at the farm. Its time to load and soot that gets me.


When I do take time to shoot the range is never crowded.
