i've handled em and kinda like em but tough to pull the trigger after the 11's. Years ago I looked at some Duke #11s when I was at a convention. I reached in the box and picked one up at random to examine. It had a good size crack in one of the springs. At the time, and I still think the same way I guess, if a company did not care any more about quality control than they apparently did, I was not interested in being a customer. I realize a lot of good mink and coon trappers love the 1 1/2 coil that Duke sells. I may try some Duke foot holds someday, but it is hard to shake the impression of not giving a $hit about quality control. Did buy some 280s and 330s to try. Unfortunately I had used 330s that were an actual 330 size and those were not. I never measured the 280s but I could not help but think 220 size when I looked at them. I guess the new 550 is a good trap but we all know the story of hate and discontent around those.

I use and like the 110s and 160s haven't tried too many or the others but did have a #1 duke pop the jaws when I snapped it while prepping traps this last fall. I dont know if it's a one off thing or not but I made sure to bend the jaw tips up on the other 3 The Boy got from marshfield. No problem after that
Life sure is tough when you don't learn from the mistakes of others.

i've handled em and kinda like em but tough to pull the trigger after the 11's. You won't go wrong using the Duke 1 1/2 coils. I don't use them because they are cheaper to buy. I use them because in my opinion they are the best 1 1/2 coil on the market. Put a Wild River pan on them and they are even better for mink, rats, and coon. I have caught and held numerous otter, bobcats, coyotes, and beaver in them. Wish they wouldn't hold the otter because I get sick of having to release them. Try a dozen. If you don't like them I will buy them from you.

I run all duke traps including the four coiled #2 square jaws for coyotes. I am VERY interested in the new 650. I know where they are made also. LLL

I like the 160 s and 330's. Nothing wrong with them. I've used a handful of the 1.5's and they are fine. I did have a coon pop a jaw on one this year, kind of a freak thing, due to how he tangled up, but I would not say they are the sturdiest traps in the world. Good trap for the price. The Bridgers are a stronger built trap.
Right now I’m having amnesia and déjà vu at the same time. I think I’ve forgotten this before.

I like their 1 1/2 coils and their 330's. Catch most everything in them that I target.
I'm just happy to be here! Today I'm as young as I'll ever be and and older than I've ever been before!

I like the 1.5 C's for mink and muskrat. Also, the 160 bgs can't be beat for woodchuck. I use a few #4 C's for beaver and they are great for the price. I tried a few #1 longspring and they where extremely poor quality (bought new 2019)
Just happy to be here.
