I was up thru Santee last week. Turkeys were everywhere. Can't imagine it would be very hard to fill your permits.

I wondered. Used to hunt it several years ago but the pressure got too heavy. Any idea what the pressure is like now?

I have no idea. I do know there are a lot of hunters in the general area. They come from all over the US. Not a turkey hunter, but camp in that area. Have gotten to know some of the out of state guys, some have hunted here for many years.

I deer hunted Santee this year and have never seen so many turkeys. Got me a couple of hens for the table and to make wingbone calls from.
