So white bass season is approaching. I have always heard that the red portion on a white bass filet is good for pickling. Looking for a tried and true recipe.

Made a 1/2 Gallon with the (world best pickled fish recipe ) and been eating it for about a week. Half of it’s gone. There most likely better recipes but this one is excellent. Made it with red fish and large mouth bass. Next batch will be white bass

It really needs more sugar like I said in that other post, other than that it was very good. I use crappie fillets.

This is a great recipe that i received from a friend years ago We generaly make it with buffalo fish the vinigar softens the y bones until they arnt noticeable . If you are one of those crazy people that throw away the belly meat off big catfish it also pickles well with this recipe .
Ive passed this recipe along to several people over the years and everybody has raved about it . Ive also gifted quite a few pints that yielded request for me to make more
