Just lay the stick across the channel so it's just out of the water and fence the rest in.If wider you could also use 2 330's

Maybe you could set a foothold right where they are coming out.
Or take 1 post & mount the 330 sideways.

Use a 280 or even a 220 (220 with an H stand). . Easier to use and with a little blocking will catch otters.

Yes use a 280, it's a much better otter trap than a 330. Good point, & they work for beaver too
