Had a real good season, hit my highest numbers on otter, coon, beaver, skunk, and muskrat. Would have liked to got more coyote and I'm blaming that on this warm winter weather. It's 55* and raining right now with 3"-5" of rain expected by sunday morning then back down to the low 20's.Flood warnings for all rivers and low areas. Pulled all my water sets this morning, plan on pulling the flooded land sets over the day or two. Learned some things and had a great time, but now it's time .

I pulled today as well. It’s 60 degrees and 6” of snow just melted. What a mess

I pulled this morning. Everything got covered with a nice solid coating of ice yesterday. I was really wanting to get 10th coyote so may dabble a little in week or so

How's the fur looking ? My last coon from 4 days ago was slightly rubbed and had a lot of biting. Usually around this time my coyotes are rubbed or the fur is braking down. My best fur comes from Thanksgiving to Christmas.

This female was really nice I got the day before yesterday, she looked good everywhere. It was raining so she looks wet in the pic.

We can meet at my house or we could all get together at the Fried Egg in Wabash for breakfast and drink coffee and get to know each other.

I pulled all of my traps just before the big rain, also.

I had probably my best year ever. My ninie 9 coyotes this year more than doubled my previous season record of 4. Plus I caught a couple beaver and 8 muskrats on a short water line. A half-dozen nice, prime racoons also found their way into my coyote traps. The best thing was that my young sons spent more time on the trapline with me this year. They even each caught their own muskrats in their own traps that they set.

I caught a red fox on the last day my traps were out. I thought that was a nice bookend to the season because my first catch of the season was also a red fox. To celebrate such a wonderful trapping season we decided to release the red fox. I hope it goes out makes a big litter of fox babies.

Awesome ! A few years back I released a red fox on cold Christmas morning. It was a beautiful snow covered morning as the fox and I watched the sun rise together. Sounds corny, but I'll always remember that moment.
