Agreed.

My old 70's trucks you could take the rubber mats out and hose the cabs out. Vinyl seats didn't mind getting wet. Way too much fabric in new trucks.

Eh...wot?

The reason all the fancy trucks are on the dealers lots is those are the ones the city folk want. Those are 95% of their sales most likely.

Forget that fear of gravity-get a little savagery in your life.

Yep, city-dwellers and suburbanites made it all but impossible to get a real work truck.

Eh...wot?

My crew cab work truck has a 9" navigation touch screen in the dash, heated and cooled leather seats, with power and memory everything.......and a silky smooth 4x4 with lots of Horses under the hood. The crystal clear backup camera is a God send.
I kind of like these fancy new work trucks.

Nowadays it just don't pay to be a good 'ol boy.

Good Luck finding a regular cab, 2 door, eight foot bed pickup any time soon.

Every single pickup on every single dealer lot has nothing but

crewcabs or extended cabs with six foot beds.

I just spent three months searching for a used "unicorn pickup"

without any success.

Finally gave up and settled on a six foot bed extended cab.

Seems to be 151 new/used Chevy's for sale within 75 miles of my house in PA and that's just about half of the dealers that list with Kelly Blue Book.

How do you guys search? I only drive Chevy's and search with the internet. I can find pretty much anything I want close to home. Here is a local dealer's web site that has some new and used 2 doors.

I tell my dealer what I want and he gets it for me.

My last new truck was a Tundra Dbl. cab with an eight-foot bed, 4WD, a tow package and 5.7 L engine. Exactly what I asked for. I guess I could have the same result if I ordered one from the factory.

Eh...wot?
