I was cutting wood when a Hawthorne poked my knuckle right through the glove. Been taking some Benadryl but it isn't helping. Closing the pointer finger is impossible and very sore.

locust thorns do that too. i think they must have some kind of poison. it will be better in a few days

Animals don't play around with that my dad did the same thing and done nothing and a week later he had blood poisoning in his finger it turned red and started up his hand and arm he had to go see the doc after all but the worst part was 6 months later after the infection and blood poisoning was taken care of he lost the use of the finger when the tendon became detached from the infection originally .be careful ,ps it was a hawthorn also after all that he went out and bought 943 cat dozer and eliminated all the hawthorn and locust in the timber all it cost was one finger and $16000.00 dollars for the dozer wasn't worth it.
