Caught another cat this morning. In the same catch circle. I reset it. And then added another trap on the edge. And then added a scent post trap a little ways away.

I just start d a couple weeks ago. The first week I was putting out several traps and slowly increasing. I was off and a checking regular. Now I have retracted to 4 traps. And running cameras on each of them just trying to learn. I’m running more cameras than traps just trying to figure out the right places to put them and make sure there is traffic. My fear is educating them faster than him trapping them since I am having some difficulties

I've used both of those Caven products and have scored on both of them. There are a lot of them out there and I keep plenty to choose from. Just a change can mean a lot. I like scent post which is really just a flat set. I have to trap the same ole place most of the time. My goal can never be reached, which is complete eradication of coyotes. They get difficult. If you are going to do remakes, you need to get a different set of tools. My recommendation is to invest in more 550s. If you make a catch, even a coyote, pull it. Set clean trap or two a few feet away with your still clean tools. Take the scat from your circle and use it at your clean sets. DO NOT RESET THAT DIRTY TRAP IN A NEW PLACE. They will smell, roll and scratch it.

You won't need a lot of attractant with that catch circle close by. I like a curiosity or food lure. No matter what, stay clean. Keep in touch. Backbreaker.
