I posted this on another NAFA thread but what does "Saga Furs will start financing some of NAFA’s fur producing customers with immediate effect" mean?
I read it as NAFA is/was financing ranchers.

Forever in debt to my Father who introduced me to trapping. May I be half the man he was.

This is the announcement from SAGA, "Some customers" "Farmer Customers"....hmmmm
Saga Furs and NAFA enter into an agreement Saga Furs and North American Fur Auctions (NAFA) have today entered into an agreement to work together to secure a stable selling channel for NAFA’s farmer customers both in Europe and North America. Utilizing its strong financial position Saga Furs will start financing some of NAFA’s farmer customers with immediate effect.
With this solution Saga Furs and NAFA aim to remove the recent uncertainty and provide farmers the possibility to sell their 2019 production through Saga Furs’ auctions. The combined offering will create the most versatile collection of different fur types available for the international market. The agreement is expected to substantially increase Saga Furs’ volume of high quality mink in 2020.

Dave Yes. That's one big reason they lost their bacon.

When i read the actual letters that some have posted it states fur producers. Others have farmers on their notices. did they just send different notices to different folks? Basically i read one and it appears to be towards everyone and the other seems to be farm fur oriented.

Since the fur industry is an important part of the Finnish economy, my guess is SAGA can count on government support to keep all fur farmers overproducing having the continued negative impact on wild fur.

So fro what I understand. You oldtimers believe saga won't be to interested in helping the trapper crowd out?
You may think before you act. The question is did you listen to your own council?
