never used them but I really like the duke pull only trigger dp. they do have strong springs for sure.

Bobcat I bought a dozen this year to try out. They seem pretty cut and dry. I like how the bottom opens so you can clean them out. I had to go through the group and tighten that to where i wanted it but that was not biggie. I am not a duke guy so i don't know the strength of the springs on those traps. I have had bridgers and both freedom brand dp's. they seem similar in strength to them maybe a minor bit weaker compared directly brand new to brand new to an FB2. I have never had an issue with pullouts in a dp before so we will see how they do. I suspect they will be fine.

Trap door on the bottom of DPs ten to fall open after some ware on them, you want the coons to get the bait from the top not the bottom.

i have a dozen and ran them last year. I have zero complaints. The clean out door is great. I'd recommend you take a j hook tool and make sure all the factory j hooks are closed, some were more open than I liked. Every bit as strong as the other DPs out there. I wish the stake was pointed so I could pound them into hard ground but performance was flawless. Minor design tweaks is all I would change.

I was messing around with them. I had a new Duke and lil grizz. Both of them has stronger springs than the diablo. A person could take hammer brad the end behind nut then door couldn't fall off them.

My first prototypes had no door. Just a straight tube. I had zero problems with them. Never had a coon try to get in the bottom.
My buddy still uses those traps with no problems.
I have also never had a problem or complaint on the strength of the springs.
