I havent been impressed with the pogo after i pull them out if dry ground. Love them for water trapping. Do the wolf fangs bend as easily as the pogo? Went with pogos for the price, but if most wolf fangs are reusable, it may be worth goim to them

I make my own pogo's with 2" fender washers, a T-rex couldn't pull them out of the ground. For me holding strength is number one, I have about $ .50 in materials to make one, so if I lose one to the ground every now and then I'm okay with it.

Well I was using wolf fangs before they were wolf fangs. The problem with todays wolf fangs Is they a bit wimpy.
I make mine out of 1/8" steel if you can pull them you can re use them forever. Just file down the roughed up part in the throat and your good to go.

I havent used any but I want to start. I have a box or so of 2 inch fender washers. I live in Arkansas some ground is hard other l
farm ground . Will it work in both. I want to use with my snares. And some coyote sets. I always used double stakes. Where can I get a heavy duty driver? Do I use a heavy duty j hook and about 15 to 18 inch 3/32 cable?

I've yet to pull a pogo without bending it ! 1 out of 10 wolf fangs ill bend as well! On my pogos I attach a retrieval cable so they can be used repeatedly. I only used pogos on cr, I go a bit deeper on crs versus traps! I liked dustin drews system on cables except for the pogos. I will try them again when I get a pile of finned super stakes

F&T should have the drivers, and 2" on 3/32" cable, 15" to 18" in anything but sand, will hold an elephant lol

I have not used the Pogos but I bought 5 dozen wolf fangs this year to try after using rebar. So far I like them and they are heavy duty. I use the 1/8" cable WF from either FNT or Southern Snares. One of the few things I don't get from MTP because MTP doesn't carry 1/8" ones.

I use a 1.5 in pogo in northern Illinois black soil I have had some 2in and they are overkill. I only use 12in of cable with the 1.5 in washer and its still a pain to pull them out no way a yote is gonna pull them. I will use the 2in in creeks on coon traps and they work well for that.

I use the 1.5 in only for land sets for canines and ive never had an issue I trap farm country only as that's all we have around me. I use 18in rebar for my dps with a washer welded to the top.

Could I buy the 1 1/2 fender washer at the part store and use my heavy duty j hooks? Part store has some 1 1/2 ones but I didnt want if the glow mite be to big.

Definitely check washers to the driver, not all washers are same thickness. I had 10 out bag of 100 that didnt fit were too thick for the slot on driver.

Money cannot buy you happiness, but it can buy you a trapping license and that's pretty close.

the hole in the washer is just a little over .25" (1/4") washer is 1.5" yes heavy duty j hooks are what I use and 3/32 cable. mine are 12" long and I probably pound them 14" in the ground I don't set them by pulling up on the as I can tell by how its driving in the ground weather its gonna set when the coyote hits the pan. I give that couple extra inches into the ground so that way I don't get the cable loop sticking up outta the ground. if pogos weren't so cheap to buy or make I would run all super stakes with chain as the half dozen I do have are the real winner for me. they hold and I can get them out easily with my puller and I like how the chain piles up nicely under the trap. Volker wire cubbies has pogos for super cheap in a few different sizes. he is the cheapest I can find on premade pogos.
