Just wondering if anyone out there is willing to share what you oil use when tincturing meats. That is of course when you're using an oil based tincturing liquid.

I know most people either use glycol or pga but I'm wondering what else is works for meats as an oil based tincturing compound...

Thanks in advance gentelmen.

Yes, absolutely. Do you have an oil you prefer? I've searched but really haven't found much. What is your opinion of mineral oil? I've used fractionated coconut oil with good success, it's totally odorless & liquid but man I sure would like to find something cheaper.

Thanks Tony. I'm going to give them a try. Lard huh, I've thought about using it but never have. I'm a huge fan of skunk oil...

If you use lard the home made stuff is best. Im not sure exactly how the store bought stuff is made but its definitely two different products.
