so far as I know eating the flesh of any animal is not harmful

Seen a couple outdoors shows that said marten meat was not edible for humans. Wondering why.

ive trapped and skinned a couple. don't smell near as bad as otter mink or badger. I don't believe eating them is dangerous either. might not taste good to anyone not in danger of starvation but I don't believe any animal can not be safely eaten. some parts may be harmful but not the whole animal.

I know of an old cree fellow( Wasukatchee) that lived on marten when his snowmobile broke down and he couldn't get back to civilization for an extended period for supplies.
