Like most trappers who use 330's I have been battling the issues associated with storing and transporting them for years. So I finally built a prototype box to hold them separated yet easy to use. Came up up with this segmented box that seems to work pretty well. I think my next one might be a bit taller and have some drain holes. Now I need to build enough to hold 5 dozen traps for storage and a couple more for in the back of the truck. Just thought I'd show here for anyone else looking for a better way to keep them separate. Hopefully the pictures show![Linked Image]

Steve,

Great workmanship, but why not screw a Fiberglas milk crate to the wal to store them. You could use some hardboard pieces to keep them separated in the milk crates in your pickup.

I don't know if the glass type milk crates are still available, but they are heavy duty compared to the plastic ones you can buy at Walmart.

Again, great woodworking skills.

Looks good, and if you got it figured out I would recommend using MDO sign plywood or advantech for water resistance.

Thanks guys. I have done the whole milk crate deal before and hated it. Pull one out and 2 more come with it. Cut dados into wood before assembly seems easier than securing dividers into a crate anyway. And I think these will be more durable. I plan to make some 8' long ones to hang on my trap shed wall to store about 5 dozen or so traps. I can make these to fit a specific space or hold a certain number of traps. Just throwing the idea out there. Good idea Bob on the ones that will ride around in the truck 👍

I use titebond 3 for my bee boxes with good service life, it's exterior rated and waterproof. I've also switched over to 7/16 crown staples from screws, less splitting.
