So Sunday morning I found a dead cat on my lawn. It was missing its head, and the rest was intact . Some intestines were hanging out the body , but not much. There was 6 ft. of intestine (gut) laying 5 ft from the body. The body was east/ west, the gut was stretched out full length north/south. It was under a small tree in my front yard. Next to the carcass was a good size pile of mammal scat. I was thinking owl but the poop threw me off. I thought if a fox or coyote would have killed it and taken the prize home. Any ideas?

The decapitation sounds like an owl, probably a great horned or barn owl. The scat and intestines may be from a second, mammalian predator. The scat may even have come out of the cat.

I wondered that it might be from a second animal.

Bigfoot's are far more intelligent then people realize and do not eat pets out of respect. They also don't eat grinners, that's why there's so many of them. grin

I wonder if tap dancers walk into a room, look at the floor, and think, I'd tap that. I wonder about things.....
