When testing lures/baits, do many of you use trail cams?

Good to hear, Yes sir. All of mine seem to either be unsensitive, too blurry at night, lack range, noisy trigger, have an infraded flash, or an indicator lite that glows when it goes off. The blackout ones I've found have a noisy trigger. I suppose if I modify or position it properly it might work for bait or lure testing. 1 thing it'd help with is to know what kind of critter is hitting the attractant. They don't always leave good tracks.

MOST CRITTERS FROM COYOTE SIZE DOWN TO FIELD MICE YOU WILL PICK THEM UP ON THE CORRECT TRAIL CAM SET-UPS ,THE CHEAP JUNK CAMS ARE LOUD TRIGGERS AND MORE JUNK . grin

THE BETTER BUILT CAMS ARE FOR USE ON SENSITIVE CRITTERS LIKE THE COYOTE , RED FOX , GRAY FOX , DEER , BEAVER , ETC

The black out Cams are most useful and are recommended to use for Research and Lure and or Bait Testing , actually Truth is you will see 'The Truth' about what you are using to attract your target animal .

Some Lure Bait Makers ~Fear~ The Trail Cameras Results , LOL ,

You Gotta See What the results of what you are using and holding in your Hands in that jar or ? to Attract your target Animal , and what it may or may not be doing for Your Interests rather than dreaming about Santa Clause. grin

'Sure you can go out on The Trapline and waste alot of your Time or you Can TEST them out In or Out of Season Year Around . Hey you may just catch on images a C.O. on your adventures , Who knows ? lol

It IS Technology Advancements similar to these Computers that allow folks to be on here .

Trail Cams are a Great Tool that you 'Can Not' Pass Up , Get A Good One . smile

Trail cams give much information such as real time animal behavior and solid reactions to certain test materials. You are not guessing at times trying to interpret the sign that is left which at times is minimal. In my experience they are priceless. I would have liked to had them back in the late 60's and 70's when I was developing my skills. How they could have given me valuable information and helped in giving faster data results.
