Good convo on trapping, the good and the bad. While we were loading up the kayaks and canoe my son had asked him what kind of pliers he was using to remove the hooks. Long story short, we ended up doing a little bartering. Offered a 4oz jar of any bait on my truck for the krok pliers. Luckily we had stocked the truck the day before after cleaning it out. My son says to me, dad now you can use those heavy long nose pliers and I'll keep these in my bag. Not a bad trade at all.

Do you care to show a close up of the nose side of the pliers?

they look symilar to these https://www.amazon.com/dp/B075965MS...d_r=2e4d9e90-968b-11e9-bb63-9f01c3232729

I picked up a bit different pair last year , the line cutter , no rust, light weight and split ring part is handy but the lanyard is most important when your already short on hands and on a stand up paddle board.

seems like you got a good deal that brand goes for a bit more https://www.fishingheadquarters.net/kr7alpl.html

some of those light weight fishing multi pliers go for 30-50 dollars a bit rich for my fishing

here is a list of top pliers and features https://www.tacklescout.com/10-best-fishing-pliers-freshwater-saltwater/

I am running these and they work for my use at about 6 dollars a pair. https://www.amazon.com/Booms-Fishin...SM?ref_=bl_dp_s_web_12081003011&th=1
they work , with wet hands I thought they needed a bit more grip because they are so light , but with the plastic grips I just used a soldering iron to give them more grip and hen my son stole them for his fishing and now I get to see them when he loans them back to me.

After looking at the prices for them, they are a bit out of my range for fishing as well. The pliers I use were fine but my son was very interested in them. LOL, my son is the same way when it comes to tools.
