Since I have all my traps dipped/waxed/adjusted I have another 204 days till they go back in the marsh. Added a lot more traps to my inventory over last year so hopefully I can double my catches. I'm a goal oriented person so numbers really drive me to push harder. For this years trapping season what was your personnel best???? My personnel best this year were the following:
39 Trap Sets-19 Nutria Jan 20th 71 Trap Sets-29 Nutria Jan 21st(Most ever caught in a 24 hour check Personally)
7 day total was 112
2019/2020 goal is to catch 50-Nutria in a day. And if you have read my other post about Muskrats....... 1
2019/2020 totals 634 nutria 9 coons 2 muskrat 1 bobcat 1 mink

I have done the proper Muskrat dance for you Roz, set them, they will come. Good luck on reaching your goals!
I wonder if tap dancers walk into a room, look at the floor, and think, I'd tap that. I wonder about things.....

Well, since I try to avoid nutria....... Had around 50 traps out, both dry and water. Yield was five cats, eleven rats, two skunk, two nutria, two beaver, one coyote, one mink, and one otter. Think that was about it.

We have a bounty one them, I save the heads of them for alligator bait, we eat the back legs on them. A few keeps the worm bed hot!!!! We cannot use them for bait stations due to our regulations.

Airport under the regulations for the Bounty program if you use any kind of lead when dispatching you must either(Bury, consume, or thrown into an area where no birds of prey/scavengers can consume the carcass) so in my area you pretty much have to bury the carcass because there is no way of getting away from the eagles/hawks/and owls. We bury them under the marsh(Fertilizer).
